Bearded Swallow-wort can be found climbing on boulders and over forbs and shrubs in the South Texas Plains and Edwards Plateau. It is a climbing vine that reaches a length of 6 feet. The dark green leaves are 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches long and have smooth edges. The creamy white flowers are small, measuring 1/8 inch. Bearded Swallow-wort blooms from March to July.
